Getting There

Brightlingsea is in North East Essex, 8 miles south-east of Colchester, Britain’s oldest recorded town, and on the edge of Constable Country.

BY TRAIN

At the weekend trains run hourly from London Liverpool Street Station to Colchester North Station taking approximately one hour.  Taxis are available at Colchester North Station which will take about 25 minutes to Brightlingsea. Alternatively the No.87 Hedingham bus goes directly to Brightlingsea from several bus stops around ColchesterTown. (It does not stop at Colchester North station)

FESTIVAL SHUTTLE BUS

When arriving by road please follow the road signs to the Festival Shuttle Bus. The bus can be boarded in the town centre at Victoria Place, CO7 0BP (outside the Brewers Pub) or in the car park of the Co-op East of England store in Samsons Road, CO7 0RN.
