Entries for the 2016 Brightlingsea Christmas Tree Festival are now closed.
Once again we are inviting all Brightlingsea individuals, families, charities, churches, schools, shops, businesses, clubs and societies to provide and decorate a tree for display in All Saints’ Church. Proceeds will be divided between All Saints and St James churches. Trees can be any size or shape, fresh or artificial; as far as decoration is concerned, the only limit is your imagination and afterwards your tree goes home with you for Christmas.
Trees can be decorated at the church or brought ready-decorated. Power is available for lights. The on site electrican will supply a long flex for lights to be tested. He will then connect them when all the trees are in place.
Entries can be made online and will be accepted for trees in four judging categories (visitors will vote for their favourites) – Child Individual, Child Group/Family, Adult Individual and Adult Group – and in four different size categories – up to 2′ (60cm), 2′ to 4′ (60cm to 120cm), 4′ to 6′ (120cm to 180cm) and over 6′ (180cm).
Entries close on Friday 2 December.
