Running alongside the Festival we have a series of special concerts taking place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. These events offer a wonderful opportunity to enjoy beautiful live music in historic All Saints’ Church seated amongst the Christmas trees. The gift shop and bar will be open on Friday and Saturday evenings too.
Friday 13 December
Oo la la – a funky/jazzy duo who between them have international experience over several decades, both have also toured with well-known names like Rick Wakeman and Spandau Ballet. They’ll be performing lots of feel-good music (rock/jazz) with a seasonal swing, and the chance to sing along as well. Doors open at 7pm, performance starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £7.50 each to include a glass of wine and nibbles and a mince pie. Tickets will are available from Spirals in Victoria Place.
Saturday 14 December
Hexachordia – a trio who play a variety of medieval instruments (e.g. lute, recorder, guitar, gittern, bagpipes, shawm etc) as well as singing. They will take us on a musical journey from the onset of winter through Christmas into the New Year, mainly English with a sprinkling of European music, as well as some readings related to the experience of winter and the Nativity. Doors open at 7.15pm, performance starts at 8pm. Tickets cost £12.50 each to include savoury and sweet canapés severed before and after the performance and a welcome glass of wine. Tickets will are available from Spirals in Victoria Place.

Carols with Chris – The Festival will conclude with a wonderful free family carol sing along led by Chris Bloor. This well loved and widely anticipated event brings families and friends together to sing a delightful selection of festive music and close the Brightlingsea Christmas Tree Festival in true style. The carols start at 6pm. Tickets not required – open to all.
